Holter Museum of Art
The Holter opened in 1987, providing a space for the Helena community to experience contemporary art in central Montana. It is considered one of the finest in the state, consisting of five exhibition galleries, an education center, and a collections & research center. Offering between 15-20 rotating exhibitions each year, innovative art education for all ages, community-based events, artist residencies, lectures, receptions, and more – the Holter is among the premier cultural centers in the region.

Holter Gala Branding
2025
After a year filled with many changes, the director of the Holter settled on the theme "Metamorphosis" to represent the new (albeit challenging and rewarding) growth. The Holter community had to overcome the loss of beloved "book man" Dave and new configurations within their space and staff.

Holter Gala Branding
2023
An evening celebrating the arts in the Helena community.

Those attending wear a “blank slate” for local artists to create one-of-a-kind artworks directly on clothing.

Delicious food, silent and live art auctions, wine, liquor, and beer bars, and even a desert auction from local bakeries make this event one of a kind.
